UNDER 18
All clients MUST be 18+, no exceptions. It is a criminal offence in the state of VICTORIA to tattoo a person under the age of 18, even with parental or guardian consent.
PREGNANCY &/OR BREAST FEEDING
We will never tattoo a pregnant or breast-feeding person. The stress on the body can cause harm to the foetus and the immunity required during the healing process can take away from the wellbeing of the baby. Additionally, the anaesthetics used during the tattoo contain adrenaline and epinephrine which can cause the baby’s heart rate to increase, and therefore possibly risk foetal cardiac arrest.
ON HIGH-RISK MEDICATIONS
None of the following prescribed medications and supplements can be taken prior to your appointment (see timeframes on specific medications below).
Accutane / Roaccutane (off at least 1-year prior to pmu tattoo)
Heart & Blood Pressure meds (off at least 4wks prior)
Opioid meds & pain killers (off at least 4wks prior)
Antibiotics (e.g. Amoxicillin) (off at least 4wks prior)
Corticosteroids & steroid-based meds (e.g. Prednisone) (off at least 4wks prior)
UNDERGONE SURGERY IN THE LAST 3-MONTHS
Pushing your immune system to heal multiple wounds simultaneously is never a good idea. Not only does your body need time to heal internally from your procedure, you may also have epidermal side-effects post-surgery such as: surgical wounds, incision points, bruising, and scarring that need to completely heal before undergoing any pmu procedure.
PRESENTLY ACTIVE VIRAL INFECTIONS SUCH AS BLEPHARITIS / CONJUNCTIVITIS / COLD SORES
We cannot perform your tattoo if you have present cold sores and /or eye infections as they a) are highly infectious and b) weaken your immune system and therefore makes healing more difficult for your body. For some reason, the trauma caused during the procedure can trigger the virus to resurface, so if you are prone to / suffer from cold sores, we suggest undergoing a course of Valtrex antivirals to prevent an outbreak. You can get a script from your trusted GP.
-
~~
RADIATION / CHEMO / CANCER REMISSION
If you have been previously diagnosed with a cancer or a similarly serious oncological illness, you will need have been in active and consistent remission for at least 1-year prior to your pmu tattoo and have a certified medical clearance from your medical team.
DIABETES
Sufferers of diabetes are much slower to heal, more prone to infection and are a higher risk of excessive bleeding during the procedure. This increases the likelihood of scarring and effects the overall pigment retention. Where a standard healing timeframe would be around 4-6wks, a person with diabetes would take 8-10wks. We are happy to proceed after you have consulted your specialist or GP and provide a medical clearance certificate.
HEART CONDITIONS
Because the anaesthetics used during the tattoo contain adrenaline and epinephrine, it may cause your heart rate to increase, and therefore possibly risk cardiac arrest. Additionally, there is the added risk of systemic infections and infectious endocarditis.
BLOOD DISORDERS (E.G. CLOTTING / ANEMIA / HEMOPHILIA / THALASSEMIA)
It is not recommended to get tattoos if you are on an anticoagulant, as they increase the likelihood of severe bruising and possible infection. If your physician feels that it is safe to hold your anticoagulant, you may be able to get a tattoo after 3-6 months of treatment, as long as you provide a medical clearance certificate.
BLOOD-BORNE DISORDERS (E.G. AIDS-HIV / SYPHILLIS / HEPATITIS)
Because tattooing involves piercing/breaking the skin, there is a high risk of transmission if you have been diagnosed with a blood-borne infection. If you suffer from a treatable blood-borne illness, you will need to provide a medical clearance certificate from your GP.
GLAUCOMA
Sufferers of Glaucoma unfortunately cannot undergo eyeliner tattooing. The use of glaucoma drops and medications make the eyelash follicles and eyelids hypersensitive, causing excessive bleeding and poor colour retention. Therefore eyeliner tattooing is not an option. HOWEVER – Lip tattooing and eyebrow microblading are safe, but will require a medical clearance letter from your trusted GP and/or specialist to confirm your suitability.
NUEROLOGCAL CONDITIONS (E.G. EPILEPSLY / MUSCULAR SPASMING DISORDERS)
Individuals with epilepsy or other neurological spasming disorders experience sudden changes in the brain’s electrical activity, e.g. seizures. During a seizure, you may jerk, shake, twitch, or even lose consciousness in extreme cases. This puts great pressure on the artist being able to perform such a precise procedure. If you feel your condition is able to be controlled during the tattoo, you will need to provide medical clearance letter from your trusted GP and/or specialist to confirm your suitability.
-
~~
It is possible and safe to under-go permanent makeup tattooing with the following conditions, HOWEVER – you need to understand the risks and potential side-effects involved and take full accountability for any subsequent results. Ultimately, it is up to the artist to decide if you are a suitable canvas and if they are comfortable to proceed.
HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE
Your blood pressure has to be at a stable condition. Because your blood is pumping at a faster than average rate, it pushes more blood out and with it, the pigment we are trying to deposit. This means you are a greater risk for scarring, and (because your blood pressure is literally diluting and expelling and foreign agents) poor/patchy colour retention.
FIBROMYALGIA
Though there is no medical evidence to confirm this, individuals with Fibromyalgia often experience greater pain during the tattoo – a side-effect of the illness called Hyperalgesia. This is where the nerves overreact and amplify the alarm signals to the brain which intensify the severity of the pain. We will do everything we can to provide a pain-free experience with topical anaesthetics, however we cannot guarantee it will be an entirely painless procedure.
AUTO-IMMUNE / NERVE DISORDERS
For those with autoimmune or nerve conditions (e.g. Lupus, Crohns, Arthritis, Neuropathy) tattooing can trigger unwanted immuno-responses. Damage to the skin may initiate a flare-up or clotting response to prevent bleeding and the immune system will react to defend the body from infection.
SKIN CONDITIONS (E.G ECZEMA / DERMATITIS / PSORIASIS / KERATOSIS PILARIS / KELOIDING)
If you have a chronic epidermal condition, your skin is in a constant state of unrest and shedding and therefore won’t hold the pigment very well. The inherent nature of this type of skin causes easy bleeding, which once again means your skin is not likely to retain the colour properly.
MOLES / SCARS / BIRTHMARKS ETC
We will not be able to tattoo over any blemishes, sores and moles in or around the desired area, but we will do their best to camouflage/work around these things if possible.
ALLERGIES (E.G LATEX / DYES / SKINCARE / ANAESTHETIC REACTIONS)
If you have ever been allergic to nickel, hair dyes, or latex it is best to have a test patch done in order to determine whether you could suffer from allergic reaction to the pigment. There is a rare and special risk associated with allergy to latex protein. Latex particles from the tattooers gloves can elicit anaphylactic shock. As a rule, we use nitril-based latex-free equipment and tools, however it’s still critical to specify if you have any allergic conditions.

PARACETAMOL
Paracetamol is a great and safe way to treat any pain and reduce your temperature during your pmu tattoo. Pop away!
HYDRATE & EAT
Drinking water (still, sparkling or mineral) before, during and post your pmu tattoo will be your bestie. Sports drinks that contain electrolytes are also advised. Because pmu tattooing increases the release of adrenaline into your bloodstream, it’s important to make sure you’ve got something substantial in your tummy to decrease the risk of nausea, dizziness, fainting and muscle spasming.
MOISTURISE
Applying your usual cream-based moisturiser, eye creams and lip balms before your appointment is advised. However, avoid any serums / creams and other topical skincare that contains high-risk ingredients (**see THINGS TO AVOID >> Cosmeceutical Skincare)
CHILL TF OUT
Any way you slice it, getting needles in your skin is never an exciting prospect. For our part, we will do everything in our power to ensure you have the most pleasant and safe experience possible, including numbing the affected areas before and during the procedure, calming lo-fi music, good vibes and attentive bedside manner. All we need you to bring is a chill energy.
BRING REFERENCE PHOTOS
Your goals and desired outcome should be 99% locked down during your consultation, however, feel free to bring along any specific reference pics, your dream lipstick shade and any other ideas with you on the big day.
BE ON TIME
No one wants to rush a face tattoo, right? Because we are committed to creating the most phenomenal outcome for you, we cannot cut corners, or rush perfection. It’s really important therefore, to make sure you’re on time and prepared for your scheduled appointment. We totally get that life happens – if you’re running 5-10mins late just shoot us a text or call. However, if you are more than 15mins late, you will forfeit your appointment, and need to rebook and repay for a new appointment.

THE TL;DR
NO CAFFEINE (4hrs prior)
NO ALCOHOL (24hrs prior)
NO BOTOX/FILLERS (3wks prior and/or post)
NO INTENSIVE SKIN TREATMENTS (4wks prior and/or post)
NO WAXING / THREADING (3days prior)
NO TINTS / DYES / TANNING (1wk prior)
NO ANTIBIOTICS / PRECRIPTIONS (see specifics below)
NO MEDICATIONS / SUPPLEMENTS (see specifics below)
NO COSMECEUTICAL SKINCARE (see specifics below)
CAFFEINE
No coffee, soft or energy drinks etc at least 4hrs prior to your procedure. We know this sucks, but it’s to prevent excess bleeding, bruising and look of pigment. Caffeine post-procedure is fine.
ALCOHOL
No alcohol for at least 24hrs prior to your appointment. Because alcohol is a blood thinner, it can increase the risk of excessive bleeding, which can mean your body is more likely to reject the pigment, resulting in fading / patchiness etc.
BOTOX / FILLERS
No Botox or Dermal Fillers 2-3wks either side of your procedure. Because Botox and Fillers are injected into the muscle, the initial healing and settling process can affect the symmetry of your PMU, irritate the affected injection areas of skin, cause a possible infection, and add unnecessary stress on your immune system while the body is trying to heal your botox/fillers or tattoos.
FACIALS / PEELS / LASER TREATMENTS / MICRODERMABRASIONS / SKIN NEEDLING
No intensive skin treatments at least 4wks either side of your procedure. These therapies strip the protective surface layers of the skin and can therefore increase the risk of scarring.
WAXING / THREADING
No hair removal or colour-depositing beauty treatments for at least 2-3days prior to your procedure. Waxing / threading / plucking etc opens the hair follicles and can end up holding pigment and permanently staining the open pores. Additionally, these therapies remove surface layers of the skin and can therefore increase the risk of scarring. Because tanning, is pigment-based products, it can create an unwanted barrier between your skin and the pigment we are trying to deposit. Additionally, we need to see your natural skin/hair colour and shape to deliver the highest impact results.
ANTIBIOTICS & PRESCRIPTIONS
None of the following prescribed medications and supplements can be taken prior to your appointment (see timeframes on specific medications below)
Accutane / Roaccutane (off at least 1-year prior to pmu tattoo)
Warfarin / Heperin (off at least 3days)
Heart & Blood Pressure meds (off at least 4wks prior)
Opioid meds & pain killers (off at least 4wks prior))
Antibiotics (e.g. Amoxicillin) (off at least 4wks prior)
Corticosteroids & steroid-based meds (e.g. Prednisone) (off at least 4wks prior)
MEDICATIONS & SUPPLIMENTS
None of the following over-the-counter medications and supplements for at least 48hrs prior to your appointment. These products are blood-thinners, increasing the risk of greater bleeding and bruising. This makes it difficult to achieve a good saturation of pigment colour in your tattoo, as well as makes it more likely that the tattoo will fade or heal patchy:
Ibuprofen
Aspirin
Advil
Aleve
Fish Oil / Krill Oil
Ginseng
Gingko
Biloba
Vitamin E
COSMECEUTICAL SKINCARE
None of the following types of topical skincare products containing the following ingredients can be used at least 7days prior and 1-month post pmu tattoo. These chemical agents thin the skin and therefore increase the risk of scarring, pigment migration and infection:
Retin-A / Retinol (Vitamin As)
Tretinoin Preparations, Hydroquinone, Skin bleaching agents
AHA’s (Alpha Hydroxy Acids: Glycolic, lactic and salicylic acids)
Vitamin C, Benzoyl Peroxide,
Anything with an Alcohol content greater than 6%
-
~~
BROWS
NO LAMINATION / HENNA / TINTS / DYES / TANNING
None of the above for at least 2-3wks prior to your procedure. Because tints and dyes are pigment-based products, they can create an unwanted barrier between your skin and the pigment we are trying to deposit. The activators and certain ingredients of lamination agents and fake tans can disturb the tattoo pigment and risk colour change. Additionally, we need to see your natural hair/skin colour and shape to deliver the highest impact results.
-
~~
LIPS
NO VIRAL INFECTIONS E.G. – COLD SORES
We cannot perform your lip tattoo if you have present cold sores as they a) are highly infectious and b) weaken your immune system and therefore makes healing more difficult for your body.
For some reason, the trauma caused during the procedure can trigger the virus to resurface, so if you are prone to / suffer from cold sores, we suggest undergoing a course of Valtrex antivirals to prevent an outbreak. You can get a script from your trusted GP. Lysine is a good natural alternative, being an essential amino acid, and is best taken 1-month before the procedure.
-
~~
NO FALSE LASHES / LASH EXTENSIONS
Your lash extensions must be completely removed including all traces of glue/adhesive at least 1wk prior to your eyeliner tattoo and avoid re-application at least 3wks post tattoo.
NO CONTACT LENSES
No contact lenses during or immediately post your appointment. Because we are adding pressure to the eyeball, having your contacts in can increase the risk of a corneal abrasion.
NO LASH GROWTH SERUMS / LASH LIFTS
No lash serums or chemical lifts for at least 8wks prior and 4wks post eyeliner tattoo. Lash serums and lifts contain prostaglandin analogues which can greatly increase the sensitivity and irritation of the already very delicate lid skin, as well as increase the risk of blurred vision of it penetrates the deeper layers of the skin.
NO EYE INFECTIONS E.G. – BLEPHARITIS / CONJUCTIVITIS
We cannot perform your liner tattoo if you have present eye infections a) are highly infectious and live in the lash line where we would be tattooing and b) weaken your immune system and therefore makes healing more difficult for your body.

THINGS TO DO >>
THE TL;DR
For the first 2 WEEKS post-tattoo, you MUST…
KEEP THEM DRY
KEEP THEM CLEAN
KEEP THEM OUT OF THE SUN
WEEK ONE
During the first 5-days of your tattoo, follow this process each morning & evening (2 x a day)
Wet a disposable cotton pad with warm water & ring out till damp
Gently dab/press (do NOT rub) over the tattooed area to cleanse away any oil/sweat/lymphatic fluid
Repeat with a DRY cotton pad
Leave to airdry for at least 2-mins
Apply a rice grain size amount of balm provided in your aftercare pack
WEEK TWO
Continue the above process ONCE per day. Between a week to two weeks, your tattoo will flake and peel. You might experience a little itchiness or irritation but it’s critical to avoid scratching and picking.
WEEK THREE – FOUR
The flaking/peeling process should almost be complete, and the colour will appear much lighter and less visible. Don’t stress, this is normal, and the pigment will continue to become darker as it heals into the deeper layers of the skin over the next 6-12wks.
~~
THINGS TO AVOID >>
THE TL;DR
For the first 2-3 WEEKS post-tattoo, ABSOLUTELY…
NO DIRECT WATER ON THE AREA
NO CLEANSERS / SOAPS / MAKEUP / SKINCARE
NO DIRECT SUN / UV EXPOSURE
NO SWIMMING / SPAS / SAUNAS
NO SCRATCHING / PICKING / TOUCHING
NO INTENSE EXERCISE
~~
THINGS TO REMEMBER >>
Some post-procedure FYIs to be aware of…
SWELLING & SYMMETRY
Due to minor swelling and skin-irritation, your tattoo may not look symmetrical or after the procedure. Don’t panic! This will settle once the swelling goes down and the actual shape can be seen.
COLOUR SETTLING
Your tattoo will look slightly darker the day after the procedure, very light two weeks after the healing has finished, and true-to-colour colour at 4-6 weeks. For some clients it is perfect, others it may be too light, or patchy in some areas. This is why cosmetic tattooing is a two-step process, requiring an initial session and a perfecting/retouching session.
While healing, your tattoo colour will go through two main stages of settling. Immediately after and for the first one-three weeks, you’re going to think your tattoo is “too dark” or “too strong”. Between six and three weeks, you’re going to think your tattoo is “too light” “patchy” and “faded”. DON’T PANIC! This is all completely normal.
STAGE ONE: “TOO DARK”
For the first few weeks, your tattoo colours will always appear darker/brighter/stronger and more sharply defined. This is normal. Why? Some of the pigmet has been deposited into the skin, and some of the pigment is simply sitting on the surface and will flake/scab off. Be patient, the colours will lighten and soften in 3 – 7 days.
STAGE TWO: “TOO LIGHT”
When the pigment settles, clients often think the colour is lost or has lightened too much, please be patient, as you can’t judge the true colour until week 4. Colour will continue to come and go based on the stages of exfoliation and healing. It is completely normal to lose up to 50% of the colour in the first session. Remember – cosmetic tattooing is a two-step process, requiring 2 x sessions. So, please don’t worry, that is why we have a perfecting/touchup session.
THINGS TO REMEMEBER FOR: EYEBROWS & EYELINER
Apply Barrier cream supplied daily, best to always apply before showering
If the skin is itchy you are not applying enough cream.
Some people, depending on metabolism will experience more exfoliation than others.
Exfoliation / Peeling / Flaking is part of the healing process, do not worry! And usually takes 7-10 days
The colour underneath the brows/Liner will at this point appear to be much lighter in comparison to the skin which is coming off.
THINGS TO REMEMEBER FOR: LIPS
Immediately after the treatment lips will be slightly swollen and tender and colour will appear much darker than the one chosen during the consultation.
Apply the supplied cream constantly to keep the lips moist. The cream will help with soreness as well as holding the colour in.
If you do not apply enough cream the lips begin to tighten, and pigment will drop out.
No hot drinks or spicy foods for the first day,
No lip cosmetics (lipstick, gloss, balm etc), kissing or direct water for the first week.
DID YOU KNOW, YOU CAN’T…
You cannot donate blood for 6months following any cosmetic tattoo procedure.
For the next 4-6 weeks, you cannot undergo.…
Botox and/or fillers
Intensive skin treatments (facials, peels, laser, microdermabrasion, skin needling etc)
Cosmeceutical skincare (Retin-A, Retinol, AHAs, Benzoyl Peroxides)
Brow/Lash tints, dyes, false lashes, lash extensions etc.
Brow/lash serums

THINGS TO DO >>
PERFECTING SESSION
(6-8weeks post-initial session)
Always remember, cosmetic tattooing and PMU is a two-step process. You will need to book your perfecting/touch-up session 6-8 weeks following your initial session. This is where me make adjustments to your shape, colour, saturation etc.
PROTECT YOUR SKIN
To enhance the longevity of your tattoo (and let’s face it, your skin in general) apply sunscreen daily, and drink at least one litre of water per day.
YEARLY BOOSTER SESSIONS
Because cosmetic tattooing is a semi-permanent procedure using pigment (opposed to body tattoo ink) you will need a yearly or 24mth booster session to maintain and refresh your pmu. Every individual is different, but the lifespan of most cosmetic tattoos is between 1-3years.
~~
THINGS TO AVOID >>
To enhance the longevity of your tattoo, you should avoid and/or limit…
Sun exposure (it fades and discolours your pigment significantly)
Solariums, tanning beds and any excessive UV-exposure
Aggressive / intense chemical exfoliants including glycolic Acid or peels
Skincare with Vitamin C and AHAs
~~
THINGS TO REMEMBER >>
We are not miracle workers! Unlike traditional surface makeup, pmu has limitations for what is actually possible. Therefore, while me might not be able to achieve your precise desired look, we can create an outcome as close as possible within the safe medical and physical parameters. While your tattoo will be an amazing base and template, traditional makeup may still be required to achieve your preferred , or more dramatic look.

WHAT IS COSMETIC TATTOOING?
HOW PERMANENT IS IT?
BODY TATTOO -V- COSMETIC TATTOO
IS IT PAINFUL?
~~
WHAT IS COSMETIC TATTOOING?
(aka – PMU, Permanent Cosmetics, Derma-Cosmetics, Micropigmentation)
Cosmetic tattooing / Permanent Makeup is the controlled implantation of safe colour pigments into the dermis layers of the skin. Using a combination of manual hand-held blades and/or digital tattoo machines with single-use disposable needles, cosmetic tattooing is a controlled clinical procedure in a medically sterile environment with strict hygiene and cross-contamination practices.
Want more? Jump over to the services menu for specific procedure info.
HOW PERMANENT IS PMU?
Don’t be fooled by the name. Although we call it PMU, cosmetic tattooing is technically only semi-permanent. Depending on a number of individual factors, your cosmetic tattoo will last anywhere between 3-5 years. Throughout that time, your tattoo generally does 'fade', or metabolise, therefore requiring maintenance or ‘booster’' visits in the future.
BODY TATTOO V COSMETIC TATTOO
Traditional body tattooing uses INK. Whereas cosmetic tattooing uses PIGMENTS.
These pigments contain a lower concentration of colorants and a higher ratio of liquid than traditional tattoo ink, for a more natural finish on the skin.
The molecular structure of INK is very heavy/large and cannot be broken down by the body – therefore permanent. PIGMENTS, however, have a thinner, smaller molecular structure, which the body can metabolise over time, thereby the ‘fading’ effect over time.
IS IT PAINFUL?
Of course! It’s needles in your skin. BUT – the good news is we completely numb you, applying topical anaesthetics before and throughout the process to keep the experience as comfortable and pain free as possible. Responsible and safe numbing is included as part of your service, so you won’t need to worry about working this out for yourself. This is a two-step approach using PRIMARY and SECONDARY numbing agents.
PRIMARY ANEASTHETIC (aka – pre-numb)
15-20mins before we start the tattoo, we apply the local anaesthetic (or “pre-numb”) – a strong topical numbing cream compound made up of 10% Lidocaine and 0.5% Epinephrine.
SECONDARY ANEASTHETIC
Once we’ve broken the skin initially, we will continue to apply a secondary numbing agent after each ‘pass’ of your skin. This is a water-based, fast-acting gel that penetrates the nerve layers of the dermis to reduce swelling, excessive bleeding, and neutralise the pain receptors. These quickly absorbing anaesthetics are made up of 4% Lidocaine, 2% tetracaine, and 0.2% Epinephrine.

Book your appointment
Book your touchup
~~
THE CONSULTATION
All new clients MUST book a 30min consultation prior to scheduling any appointment. This can be done on the same day right before the to the tattoo, ~or~ another day prior to the appointment. In this consult, we will:
Assess your skin type and suitability for PMU
Discuss concerns, goals, and expectations
Confirm with you on what’s possible / achievable
Go through medical history & allergy conditions
Create a custom mapping of one-side of the design / shape for you to see the proposed outcome
Colour matching and selection
THE INITIAL PROCEDURE
The big day is here! Cosmetic tattooing is a two-step process, meaning you will have an initial session (3-4hrs) and a perfecting / touch-up session (1–2hrs). So, what can you expect during your initial session?
A full consultation to create a treatment plan with you to give you the best short- and long-term results possible.
Pre-mapping design so you can see your perfect new tattoo shape prior to making it (semi) permanent.
Let’s clean, sanitise and numb you up!
Lie back, relax for the next 3-hrs and bliss out while we work our magic
THE TOUCHUP
Cosmetic tattoo is a two-step process, made up of 2 x sessions roughly 6–12 weeks apart. Following your initial session, it’s common to lose roughly 60% of the pigment, and depending on your metabolism it is very normal for your tattoo to be patchy and a little uneven.
The perfecting / touchup session is where we “seal the deal” and make all the necessary adjustments, additions, corrections following your first appointment. The perfecting session is critical to ensure you are in love with your PMU for as long as possible!
TWO-STEP PROCEDURE
DAY 1: “OMG YES, I’m obsessed with my new brows / lips / liner”
DAY 2 – 4: “Yikes, I hate this colour, it’s too dark!”
DAY 5 – 7: “HELP! The tattoo is totally scabbing off!”
DAY 8 – 10: “Ummm WTF, my tattoo is completely faded out”
DAY 14 – 30: “Phew, my tattoo is coming back! Still kind of patchy and uneven tho”
DAY 45 (AFTER TOUCHUP): “Ahhh I get it! Now they’re perfect. See you in a year or two!”

In line with the Victorian Government tattoo studio laws and regulations, we are unfortunately unable to host anyone under the age of 18 in our studio. Thank you for understanding.
house rules & policies
General Health Policy
Please see the “am I suitable” section for more detail prior to booking. If you make an appointment and do not meet the general health policy criteria, your deposit will be forfeited (see “contradictions & refusal of service policy” below.) The TL;DR – I am unable to provide services to you if you are:
Are pregnant or breast-feeding
On high-risk medications
Undergone surgery in the last 3-months
Have presently active viral infections such as Blepharitis, Conjunctivitis, Cold Sores etc.
Had alcohol in the last 24 hours
Had ibuprofen in the last 24hrs
Had facial waxing in the last 24hrs
Undergone chemical peels or harsh exfoliations (such as micro-dermabrasion) in the last 48hrs
Show signs of poor hygiene
18+ Policy
You must be 18+ to undergo cosmetic tattoo services in Australia. Parental or guardian consent does not override Australian law. It is illegal to tattoo a person under 18, even with parental permission. Tattoo and cosmetic tattoo businesses are required to verify a client's age using a valid photo ID.
Contradictions & Refusal of Service Policy
Before booking, clients are responsible for reading all contraindications and pre-appointment instructions (e.g., age restrictions, medical conditions, medication use).
If you arrive at your appointment and we determine you are ineligible for the procedure (e.g, pregnant, breastfeeding, active cold sore, under 18, recent botox/filler outside the recommended window, etc.), your appointment will be cancelled.
In this scenario, your deposit will be forfeited, as the time was reserved for you.
Cancellation Policy
As an appointment-only tattooer, your booking means that my time is specifically blocked out just for you. Therefore, a non-refundable deposit of $50 must be made to secure your booking and cover the cost of that time slot in the event you are unable to make the appointment. This deposit will be deducted from your final total on the day of your appointment.
If you cancel your appointment with less than 72hrs notice or don’t show up to your appointment, your deposit will be forfeited. If you provide more than 72hours notice, your deposit will be carried over to the rescheduled booking. However, if you decide to cancel your appointment entirely, your deposit will be forfeited.
If you’re unexpectedly sick or unwell, please feel free to reach out directly, and reschedule. We wouldn’t want you undergoing any procedure when your body isn’t feeling its fittest, and we want to avoid the potential spread of illness to our other clients and ourselves.
A helpful notice period breakdown here for you:
72 hours or more = Your existing deposit will be transferred to the new appointment date/time.
Less than 72 hours = Your deposit will be forfeited, and a new deposit will be required to book a new appointment. If you are unwell, I will happily reschedule you on a one-time-only basis and honour your deposit.
“No Show" (Missing the appointment with no notice) = Your deposit will be forfeited, and you will need to pay a new deposit before any future booking is allowed.
Late Arrival Policy
Please aim to arrive on time for your appointment. Obviously, life happens outside your control sometimes; and in that case please get in touch as soon as possible if you think you might be running late so I can either re-arrange or rebook you for another time based on the circumstances.
By booking, you understand that:
If you are more than 15 minutes late, I may not have enough time to complete the procedure properly.
This means you may need to be rescheduled for another time or day depending on the specific circumstances.
Late arrival with no prior notice will be treated as a cancellation with less than 72 hours' notice (forfeiture of deposit, new deposit required to rebook).
Results Policy
Cosmetic tattooing is a two-step process, and you will need to book a second ‘touch-up’ appointment to complete the service. Remember, that not everyone heals in the same way, and there are many factors that will determine the results following your first session, including but not limited to: following proper aftercare, skin type, environmental factors and so on.
Because of this, we cannot guarantee the final outcome, and additional sessions (charged accordingly) may be required to achieve the results you want.
If you have a pre-existing cosmetic tattoo and have booked for a correction, we cannot guarantee the results without knowing the extent of the potential existing skin damage, pigment retention, products used etc. We will always do our very best to give you the results you are looking for or as close as possible.
